I enjoyed my stay at Oakwood Hotel & Residence Bangkok, especially for its excellent location near the Saphan Taksin BTS station. The rooms were comfortable and quite well-furnished. However, I did find some aspects lacking, like the availability of vegan breakfast options and the noise from traffic was distracting at times. Overall, it was a solid experience.
Rooms

The rooms were nice for the price, well-furnished, and comfortable. However, some rooms are standard size, while others are quite small, affecting the overall value for money.

The hotel is in a perfect spot, just a short walk to the boat and BTS, making it easy to explore Bangkok's attractions.
Dining

My stay at the Oakwood Hotel & Residence Bangkok had its ups and downs. While the location near BTS stations was fantastic, the condition of the room left much to be desired. The staff were friendly and service-oriented, contributing positively to the experience, but the breakfast and overall amenities could improve. Ultimately, it was a mixed experience with some highlights but significant drawbacks.
Rooms
5.0
The room condition was disappointing; I noticed dampness, mold on the windows, and worn bedding (definitely in need of renovation). The shower was dirty, and I had issues with insufficient toiletries. Overall, it felt hot and stuffy upon arrival due to the AC setup.
Service
7.0
While the hotel staff were generally friendly and helpful, I encountered some frustrating moments with room service and response times for maintenance requests. For instance, when I needed a hairdryer, it took quite a while to get assistance, which was less than ideal.
Location
9.0
The location was a real highlight! Being close to the BTS Saphan Taksin station and the Sathorn Pier made getting around the city so easy. I appreciated how convenient it was for exploring Bangkok’s attractions. The area felt safe and was near some amenities.
Dining
6.0
I found the breakfast buffet average (not quite up to par), and other meals weren't great either. Though the food did vary daily, it could've benefited from a little more flavor and variety overall.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had good facilities, such as a pool and sauna, but unfortunately, the pool was closed during my stay. I appreciated the housekeeping services, though the room service needs improving to fully meet expectations.

I had a wonderful stay at Oakwood Hotel & Residence Bangkok, thanks to the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. My room was spacious and clean, although I did encounter some minor issues with the shower drainage that weren't fully resolved. The location is convenient for accessing local shops and transport, and the breakfast offered a great variety. I'll certainly consider returning on my next trip to Bangkok.
Rooms

My room was spacious and clean, although there were some marks on the walls. The bathroom was nice as well, adding a touch of comfort. However, there were issues with the shower drainage that I reported but weren't resolved during my stay.
Service
8.0
The staff were welcoming upon my arrival, always attentive and eager to assist. I especially appreciated that they remembered me on my second stay. However, my experience was slightly marred by their inability to resolve my shower issue promptly.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located near a BTS station and within walking distance of local markets and the Sathorn Pier. While it's a bit far from some major tourist attractions, it offers easy access to transport options, which is a significant plus.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was quite good, with a bright dining area offering a variety of choices, including fresh fruit and local specialties. However, as a vegetarian, I found some options limited.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel features nice facilities like a swimming pool and a sauna, although I couldn't make full use of the pool during my stay due to maintenance. Besides that, the complimentary welcome drink and other amenities added a nice touch.

I had a mixed experience during my stay. While the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, I noticed several issues that detracted from my overall satisfaction. The room was not in the best condition, and I had to deal with some cleanliness concerns. However, the location was fantastic, making it easy to access the Skytrain and nearby dining options.
Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was quite dated and really needed some renovations. The smell and humidity were noticeable, which made it feel stuffy. I was also disheartened to find that the bathroom lacked proper cleanliness, with issues like a leaking soap dispenser and slow-draining sink.
Service
8.0
The service was a highlight for me. The staff went above and beyond to assist, particularly Mr. Kaustubh, who helped return my forgotten belongings promptly. Despite the issues, they were lovely and accommodating, always wearing a smile.
Location
9.0
The location is a big plus, being close to both the Skytrain and the river. It made getting around the city super convenient, and there were plenty of local eateries along Charoen Krung Rd to explore. Even though the area had its noisy moments due to traffic, overall, it was well placed for tourists.
Dining
6.0
I tried breakfast on the first day, but I found it quite lacking. However, I did enjoy dinner one night, which was much better. The dining options had a fair variety, and I appreciated the overall effort put into the meals.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel offered decent amenities, but I would have loved to see better maintenance. Room service and housekeeping were available, but there were instances where I had to request refills on basic items like shampoo. The facilities themselves felt like they needed a bit more care.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities, though I did hear noise from the hallways and neighboring rooms at times. Overall, it was a solid choice for the price I paid.
